Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
Are you looking for a counselor you can trust? Someone who is down-to-earth and real? If so, give me a call. I completed my Master’s Degree at CSU Sacramento, and worked in the San Juan Unified School District counseling low income children and families. I also worked at Capital Counseling Center prior to starting my private practice.

Most of my clients are seeking assistance with anxiety, depression, trauma, and help to heal relationships. I also see teenage and adult men who are struggling with pornography, sexual addiction, and concerns about sexual issues. I have also completed specialized training in EMDR, a treatment for trauma recovery.

I feel that God has called me to provide professional counseling to the emotionally wounded; to act as a catalyst for emotional, relational, and spiritual growth. Within a safe and confidential environment, I seek to assist others in dealing with the complexities of life’s challenges.

Donna Yorke, M.A.

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
Temecula, CA

I’ve been in private practice in Temecula since 1990. I work with individuals, couples and families on a variety of issues, using a straight-forward approach to problem solving. While I listen with empathy, I am an “active” therapist, meaning I make suggestions, give direction and homework to partner with my clients so they can solve their problems in a timely, effective manner.
