Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
As a therapist my passion has always been children. I truly enjoy working with the growing child and assisting the child and family in facing the challenges that childhood and adolescence can bring. I utilize play therapy, behavioral techniques, sand tray, and traditional talk therapy in order to work with children and their families on a variety of issues. I have spent several years working with at risk youth and am well versed in child development and family life cycle issues. I work from a family systems and psychodynamic perspective in order to assist the families and individuals I work with in gaining insight and developing healthy and functional behaviors and relationships. Please feel free to take a look at my website or contact me for more information.

At the core of many personal issues lie old messages of your sense of worth. Those messages conveyed to you while growing-up that minimized your self-esteem. The journey inward toward your past can often be frightening and disheartening. By slowly revisiting the wounded part of yourself, old repetitive behaviors can cease to exist. A new sense of kindness toward yourself will begin to emerge. Allow me to travel with you to discover what is buried deep inside of your soul, exploring what keeps you from becoming all that you want to be.
