Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
There are many reasons that may motivate someone to consider therapy but one commonality is the courage to face challenges head-on and work toward change. I appreciate my clients’ openness and honesty about struggles they may face and I work to provide a nurturing and supportive environment for the exploration of their goals, and the steps to achieve them. I am grounded in a strength-based approach and am eclectic in the interventions I utilize with each client, meaning that I value flexibility in targeting a strategy that is a right fit for you and your goals. I possess a Humanistic and Solution-Focused outlook which helps me see each client as a valuable being, capable of making changes that result in growth, with the right support and guidance. I look forward to speaking with you or chatting by phone or email with any initial questions you may have and am honored to have the chance to bear witness to your trials and successes!

About My Practice

Office Hours

Services
I have had the privilege of working with kids, teens, and families around special needs issues, professionally, over the past 8 years. I hold a great deal of respect for the unique implications that having a child or family member with a developmental disability can have for the individual and family. Although moving forward in life, such as in graduating high school, is a joyous occasion, it may leave you with a whole slew of new questions for your loved one’s future. I wish to support your family in the continual process of adjustment to a diagnosis of developmental disability and the hurdles your family may face as your loved one moves through each stage of life. Additionally, I work with clients around mood, anxiety, and self-esteem issues as we collaborate on ways to help ease the impact these may have on relationships.
