Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
I have been a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist for over 25 years, offering empathic, supportive, growth-oriented psychotherapy to individual adults and couples. My style is personal and interactive, and my clients find me understanding, caring and easy to relate to. I create a safe and nurturing environment for you to explore your concerns about issues such as relationships, career, addictions, childhood trauma, life purpose, depression, gender issues, spirituality and stress. I can help you to clarify issues, identify options, and make the changes you desire. Our work together can have many benefits, including enhancing the quality of your relationships, refining your communication skills, improving your self care, and helping you to be more aligned with your most deeply-held values. My focus at all times is to recognize and support each person's inner wisdom and innate capacity for self-transformation.

About My Practice

Office Hours
Services
**Relationship issues are the most common topic people wish to explore in counseling. I can help you improve your communication skills, learn how to more effectively resolve conflict, and become more comfortable with emotional and physical intimacy. **Learning to more effectively deal with emotions is another common issue. I work with you so that you are better able to identify and appropriately express a wide range of feelings, including the more challenging feelings of depression, anxiety, anger, grief, fear, and despair. I have also worked extensively with adults who were abused as children. **Finally, many people discover that the integration of our spirituality into daily life can be a deeply personal and richly rewarding process. This can include clarifying your life purpose, aligning behavior with spiritual values, and regarding relationship as a spiritual path.
