Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
I have over seven years of experience working with children through the elderly with a variety of issues listed above. My area of passion lies in working with people who are or have been affected by adoption in one way or another. I am an adoptee who has been reunified with my biological relatives for over 10 years. Whether you are an adoptee, birthparent, or adoptive parent, you each have individual issues that are of equal importance. Whether you are contemplating a reunion or already know your biological relatives, this can be a stressful emotional, but exciting time. Through my personal and professional experience with adoption, I can help you through the emotional stages that are a part of the reunion process, and I can educate you on search and how to go about it, as well as other issues.

At the core of many personal issues lie old messages of your sense of worth. Those messages conveyed to you while growing-up that minimized your self-esteem. The journey inward toward your past can often be frightening and disheartening. By slowly revisiting the wounded part of yourself, old repetitive behaviors can cease to exist. A new sense of kindness toward yourself will begin to emerge. Allow me to travel with you to discover what is buried deep inside of your soul, exploring what keeps you from becoming all that you want to be.
