Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
We are drawn to what is familiar. Most of us learned as children that we had to behave in certain ways to survive in our given environments. This knowledge became our childhood coping skills, and may no longer be constructive as adults. We may unconsciously utilize these coping skills, which may need to be re-evaluated in our adult relationships. In addition, we may find that we are depressed or anxious, not understanding the root causes. I have an empathic understanding of these issues and will help you to move forward so that you can enjoy more happiness in life. Working from the informaiton that you bring in and taking my lead from you, I will gently help you to recognize and re-evaluate patterns of thinking, feeling and behaving which are no longer serving your best interests. I utilize hypnotherapy as an adjunct to traditional talk therapy. It is an extremely useful tool in treating anxiety (phobias, dread of medical procedures, test taking, public speaking, etc.), physical pain, and many other applicaitons. Some issues can be successfully treated in as little as 2 sessions.
