Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
My name is Allyson Wilhite and I am a US Navy Veteran, a Registered Nurse, and a psychotherapist. I am a single parent of three grown children, one if which who has suffered with a severe mental health condition since he was a small child.

My education, personal and professional experiences, and my passion for helping people has qualified me to assist my clients in their healing and creating and living their desired individual journeys.

My belief is that when we feel safe enough, we become more genuine and capable of loving and living incredible lives. We laugh more, play more, rest better, and have more compassion for others. Connection with self, God and others, heals, fulfills, comforts, inspires, and energizes all of us.

I am a systems therapist, and I utilize a variety of means to evaluate and treat, often coordinating with other health care professionals, the possible biological, psychological, and spiritual issues of my clients. Everyone should be so blessed to love what they do!

Are you stressed out? Do you sometimes find yourself snapping at your children? Would you describe your relationship with your husband as “distant”? Or do you feel like you are going to lose it if someone doesn’t give you a break? Being a mother, wife, or daughter can stretch us to our limits. During times like these it can feel like the world has been turned “upside down”. There is HOPE! You don’t have to figure this out alone. Let’s talk and see if I can help you make things “right side up” again.
