Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
People often measure themselves by what is going on around them, fostering feelings of discontent, confusion and loss. Therapy is an opportunity to increase one's awareness and uncover truths that are already present within us. Many of us are often waiting to feel good....waiting for the weekend, waiting for a better job, waiting for a relationship, waiting for a problem to resolve itself. So much of life is missed out on during these waiting periods. I find mindfulness-based practices very influential in promoting wellness, and especially relevant for symptoms of anxiety and depression. There are powerful, yet really simple techniques one can use to retrain the brain to focus on what's real, and to drown out the clutter that's causing pain. I enjoy a collaborative approach and focus on creating a safe, non-judgmental environment. My interests and experience include treating anxiety disorders, phobias, depression, addiction and relationship issues. I look forward to hearing your story, and developing a plan together.

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
Carlsbad, CA

I provide a therapeutic environment that allows individuals and couples to explore ideas, beliefs, life experiences, thoughts and feelings that may stand in the way of being who you truly want to be. I can help point out repeating dysfunctional patterns that may exsist in relationships at home, at work and with friends and family.I teach people how to respond in their lives versus getting caught in reacting to personalities and events.
