Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
GROUNDING POINT Counseling and Psychotherapy began in 2010 in an effort to consolidate over 20 years of personal and professional commitment to the community in the Antelope Valley. Sustained stress and trauma impact the neurological functioning of the brain. Children and youth that have been victims of trauma and do not get professional help are at risk of developing emotional problems. Moving on to adulthood they are prone to repeat the dysfunctional relationships and violent behaviors that they were victims of. The therapeutic services offered at Grounding Point are designed to assist individuals and families affected by multiple traumas, abuse, family violence, stress, conflict resolution, grief & loss. I have the qualifications, experience and dedication to assist you and your loved ones to reach your goals, to heal and thrive. Please visit my website for more information about my clinical services and specialties. At the core of many personal issues lie old messages of your sense of worth. Those messages conveyed to you while growing-up that minimized your self-esteem. The journey inward toward your past can often be frightening and disheartening. By slowly revisiting the wounded part of yourself, old repetitive behaviors can cease to exist. A new sense of kindness toward yourself will begin to emerge. Allow me to travel with you to discover what is buried deep inside of your soul, exploring what keeps you from becoming all that you want to be.
