Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
My sincere desire is to help clients transform limiting beliefs, patterns and behaviors to allow them to experience the joy and fulfillment they are looking for in their lives. I guide clients to know what it is they really want and to create sustainable treatment goals. To support the change, I provide a warm, empathic and supportive environment. I utilize multiple psychotherapeutic interventions acquired from over 25 years in the field of counseling, and I draw from various theoretical orientations to help clients gently and in many cases swiftly change. I have years of experience working with depression, trauma, phobias, PTSD, stress and anxiety. I worked in the field of child abuse for over eight years and with parents and children as the coordinator of the domestic violence program at an agency in Santa Barbara for seven years. I also work with sexual abuse cases, co-dependency and relationship issues. My professional aspiration is to help adults and adolescents tap into their wellspring within to empower themselves to lead more satisfying lives.

Donna Yorke, M.A.

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
Temecula, CA

I’ve been in private practice in Temecula since 1990. I work with individuals, couples and families on a variety of issues, using a straight-forward approach to problem solving. While I listen with empathy, I am an “active” therapist, meaning I make suggestions, give direction and homework to partner with my clients so they can solve their problems in a timely, effective manner.
