Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
Explorations of Eastern philosophies and practices -- including yoga, Buddhist psychology, Zen, mindfulness meditation, and holistic wellness -- have been formative to my personal healing and approach to psychotherapy. I believe that a profound desire lies within each of us to thrive and live to our highest potential. I view therapy as a collaborative journey which encourages self-awareness and self-acceptance through the process of being present. Psychotherapy offers an opportunity to expand our understanding of ourselves within a relationship based on curiosity and trust. This unique connection to another person can provide insight to some of the complex issues and patterns that arise in relationship to others and with the self. The needs and desires that you bring to our relationship inform my work as a therapist, and believe collaboration is key to a positive therapeutic experience. My approach is rooted in Integral Psychology - bringing together mind, body, heart, and, spirit. My theoretical orientation is highly informed and inspired by: interpersonal neurobiology, humanistic psychology, attachment theory, depth psychology, mindfulness practices, and holistic wellness. I bridge yoga philosophy and psychotherapy to help heal mind and body. In our work, I will help you identify limiting thought patterns and behaviors, guiding you toward greater understanding, authenticity, and fulfillment.
