Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
I have been practicing psychotherapy for over 20 years. I approach treatment from a holistic perspective, attending to the person’s core and understanding that trauma and grief create psychological wounds impacting many levels of one’s life. I utilize an eclectic process of providing deep psychotherapy in order to assist the client in navigating through difficult issues which enables the recovery to happen psychologically, emotionally, mentally and physically. I have a deep appreciation for and understanding of severe post traumatic process, critical incident processing, as well as addiction. In addition to my private practice, I am currently the primary therapist at an exclusive in-patient addiction facility. I approach the person as a whole and recognize that arriving at the core of one’s pain is essential to healing. By assisting the client in dealing with and healing these experiences, this therapy provides opportunity for successful emotional recovery.

At the core of many personal issues lie old messages of your sense of worth. Those messages conveyed to you while growing-up that minimized your self-esteem. The journey inward toward your past can often be frightening and disheartening. By slowly revisiting the wounded part of yourself, old repetitive behaviors can cease to exist. A new sense of kindness toward yourself will begin to emerge. Allow me to travel with you to discover what is buried deep inside of your soul, exploring what keeps you from becoming all that you want to be.
