Personal Statement:
Angie’s work is centered on health and wellness. From the moment treatment begins, Angie listens deeply. She sees her clients for who they are at their core and assists them to find wholeness. She uses her extensive training to heal, empower, and equip her clients with the tools they need to thrive to their full health of mind, body, and spirit. Angie holds a Masters of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Saint Mary’s University (MN), a Bachelor’s of Science from Augsburg College (MN) in Music Therapy and Certification in Massage Therapy from The Aveda Institute (MN). She is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT 94562), Board Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC), and both State and Nationally Certified Massage Therapist (NCTMB, CMT). Angie takes this holistic and systemic knowledge and approach into her practice. Angie has worked in treatment centers, hospitals, nonprofits, hospice, preventative care (chiropractic clinics, rehab facilities, spas, and wellness centers), and developmental services. She learned the impact and power of forgiveness during her hospice work. She learned about the physiological impact of trauma and emotional symptoms through her massage work. Music Therapy has taught her about resiliency and ability in some of the most difficult circumstances. Angie offers individual therapy, family therapy, couples therapy, children, adolescent, group counseling, music therapy, and massage therapy. At the core of many personal issues lie old messages of your sense of worth. Those messages conveyed to you while growing-up that minimized your self-esteem. The journey inward toward your past can often be frightening and disheartening. By slowly revisiting the wounded part of yourself, old repetitive behaviors can cease to exist. A new sense of kindness toward yourself will begin to emerge. Allow me to travel with you to discover what is buried deep inside of your soul, exploring what keeps you from becoming all that you want to be.
