Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
My therapeutic approach is collaborative and holistic. I believe that everyone has the capacity to move towards health and wholeness with the appropriate resources and support. I hold where clients are at in their lives with respect and compassion, and value creating a safe space conducive to sincere exchange. In my near 15 years of experience in both private practice and non profit setting, I have worked with a range of themes, including serving client's in need of support during life transitions/crises, clients seeking creative tools for the conflicts and dilemmas in their lives, as well as client's seeking to unwind unhealthy patterns and habitual emotional responses, which can limit our capacity to thrive and grow. More specific information about the issues I work with can be viewed below. My therapeutic perspective is informed by the integration of Eastern and Western worldviews, contemplative traditions, and healing arts.

At the core of many personal issues lie old messages of your sense of worth. Those messages conveyed to you while growing-up that minimized your self-esteem. The journey inward toward your past can often be frightening and disheartening. By slowly revisiting the wounded part of yourself, old repetitive behaviors can cease to exist. A new sense of kindness toward yourself will begin to emerge. Allow me to travel with you to discover what is buried deep inside of your soul, exploring what keeps you from becoming all that you want to be.
