Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
I work with children ages 3–15 years who are having difficulties in school, home or with friends and with families experiencing a life transition such as a separation or divorce. I use many modalities of therapy, including play therapy and sand tray therapy. As a Certified Collaborative Divorce Specialist and Mediator, I am very concerned that the process of divorce be accomplished with the least strife possible and with dignity and respect. I offer Parents’ Turn Co Parenting Classes so that parents can learn how to work together in the best interest of their children. These classes focus on improving communication, reducing conflict and keeping the children out of the middle. I know that divorce can be lonely and painful and I want to help families through that process.

At the core of many personal issues lie old messages of your sense of worth. Those messages conveyed to you while growing-up that minimized your self-esteem. The journey inward toward your past can often be frightening and disheartening. By slowly revisiting the wounded part of yourself, old repetitive behaviors can cease to exist. A new sense of kindness toward yourself will begin to emerge. Allow me to travel with you to discover what is buried deep inside of your soul, exploring what keeps you from becoming all that you want to be.
