People come to counseling for a variety of reasons but usually they are having feelings that are uncomfortable and they want to feel better. I help clients discover the source of their discomfort and guide them to a place for security, emotional health, awareness and ultimately, peace.
Many clients benefit from “homework”… activities they do outside the therapy room, i.e.; reading, journaling, attending support groups and viewing appropriate DVD’s and films. There is so much more to healing than weekly sessions. Growth and change is a daily process.
I have been practicing psychotherapy for 20 years and I believe I have “heard it all”. I am very comfortable with a casual, warm style of connecting with my clients. I tend to achieve positive results.
