Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I am focused on helping individuals and couples learn to reconnect and recover from addiction, anxiety, mood disorders, and traumatic stress. My therapeutic approach is solution-focused and strengths-based. I have unique experience serving adults who are visually impaired or blind and their family caregivers, with understanding of vision loss that occurs due to age, traumatic injury, or as a result of medical treatments. Other areas of expertise and interest include maternal mental health and family adjustment to chronic illness. My hope is to offer practical solutions for those seeking comfort and new ways of thinking and feeling. I am excited to join you in this process of recovery and discovery.

Phillip Copitch, PhD

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
Redding, CA 96001

Approximately half of Dr. Copitch's practice involves children and families. The other half is devoted to individual therapy. And, as Dr. Copitch often jokes, "the third half of my work is devoted to school consultations, business consultations, and corporate trainings."
