Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
After Graduating from Sonoma State University and having established a successful private practice in Santa Rosa, Ca. for 13 years I decided I needed a change of venue and decided to move to Mt. Shasta, Ca., a beautiful alpine environment in Northern California which I had come to love as an adolescent when I had an aunt and uncle there who taught me to snow ski and enjoy nature via backpacking. So moving here was in a way like coming home again. Since Mt. Shasta is such a peaceful place to be I decided it would be the perfect place to offer short term intensive therapy in the form of what I call Anger Release/Dignity Retrieval work; the premise is that when we were children most of us suffered humilation at the hands of our caregivers which over time eroded our sense of dignity or our inherent right to be treated with respect. At the core of many personal issues lie old messages of your sense of worth. Those messages conveyed to you while growing-up that minimized your self-esteem. The journey inward toward your past can often be frightening and disheartening. By slowly revisiting the wounded part of yourself, old repetitive behaviors can cease to exist. A new sense of kindness toward yourself will begin to emerge. Allow me to travel with you to discover what is buried deep inside of your soul, exploring what keeps you from becoming all that you want to be.
