Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
Life inevitably presents challenges and losses that can create emotional blocks that leave us feeling stuck, unhappy, or uncertain of ourselves. The therapeutic relationship provides an opportunity to reflect and gain perspective about the patterns and experiences that are shaping our journey, and a foundation to grow, heal, and cultivate our desired path. My goal as your therapist is to provide a safe, comfortable space for guided introspection, where healing and change can occur. My primary approach to therapy is collaborative, putting a high value on the quality of our client-therapist relationship. I honor your unique experiences and the wisdom you bring to your healing journey. Sessions are all individually based on your specific needs and goals. My commitment is to respect your unique experience, process, and the courage it takes to reach out for support. I embrace all matters of identity and cultural diversity. My therapeutic approach is EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Psychotherapy). I am trauma informed and specialize in relationship issues, grief and loss, anxiety, panic disorders, and life transitions.

Because each person is unique, there can be no set formula for helping people find solutions and pursue their goals. I focus on the particular circumstances presented, and help construct personalized goals by carefully and non-judgmentally attending to what is being presented.
