Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
I am a Spanish & Farsi speaking psychotherapist with office locations in Van Nuys, & Culver City. The following is my motto: Find Your Guiding Light Within! Depression, anxiety, panic attacks, angry outbursts, relationship conflicts, difficulty achieving goals are results of emotional wounds deep within us. The above are just signs that something is not "right" within us. In the process of therapy, the wounds hidden in the underworld are identified and attended to so that they may be healed. It is in the process of healing, that mental energy is freed for creating, loving and happiness. My work focuses on the feelings and I draw on the latest research on the neurobiology of the brain to help clients. This information shows why we just can't "talk" ourselves out of certain emotions such as anxiety or emotionally charged experiences. Thankfully, there are other ways to master our emotions. I utilize mind and body techniques, Art & play therapies, and relaxation exercises which are very effective in managing difficult feelings and behaviors. I am experienced in working with adults and children with ADD/ADHD, behavior problems, unresolved trauma, abuse, anger and stress, anxiety attacks and relationship conflicts.

Are you stressed out? Do you sometimes find yourself snapping at your children? Would you describe your relationship with your husband as “distant”? Or do you feel like you are going to lose it if someone doesn’t give you a break? Being a mother, wife, or daughter can stretch us to our limits. During times like these it can feel like the world has been turned “upside down”. There is HOPE! You don’t have to figure this out alone. Let’s talk and see if I can help you make things “right side up” again.
