Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
Children and young adults are set up for success when they are equipped with the skills and abilities to master their feelings, communication and self-esteem. Together, we will cover the wide array of changes that a young person experiences and navigate how to respond for moments they can feel proud of and the confidence to move into the next season of life. Young women flourish when they know who they are and can stand strong with emotional resiliency and clear direction which is accomplished through good therapy and trust. My hope is to be a supportive ear and voice of courage in the journey toward mental health and wholeness.

Services
I specialize in working with older children (7-12), teenagers (13-18) and college age women (18-25). I partner with young people and families to address issues related to anxiety, depression, communication, family dynamics, and self-esteem. Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and a client-centered approach, we work together to reduce the impact of symptoms and increase confidence, communication, and healthy interactions. I integrate Christian faith as requested by the client along with other methods that are appropriate and beneficial. Games, art, and other forms of expression are valuable methods for expression and developing coping strategies to move toward desired goals.

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
Pasadena, CA 91101

I am a Marriage and Family therapist in private practice. I work with individuals, couples, and families in short and long-term psychotherapy. We work together to explore memories of the relational dynamics of the individual’s family, the feelings those dynamics created for the individual as a child, and how the individual now relates to those feelings and memories.
