Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
I have had the opportunity to work with many clients over the years, with a wide range of issues including anxiety, depression, family/relationship problems, eating disorders, or struggling with feelings of emptiness or meaninglessness in their lives. Whether these emotional struggles have been life long and or the result of a life changing experience such as a divorce, death, illness or the transition of aging, everyone’s journey is individual. I work with each client in the way that best suits their personality and their individual needs. I believe Therapy is the opportunity to explore, learn and heal.

Donna J. Shanahan, MA

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
Pasadena, CA 91101

I am a Marriage and Family therapist in private practice. I work with individuals, couples, and families in short and long-term psychotherapy. We work together to explore memories of the relational dynamics of the individual’s family, the feelings those dynamics created for the individual as a child, and how the individual now relates to those feelings and memories.
