Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
My goal as a Marriage and Family Therapist is to promote spiritual, emotional and physical health and well being in individuals, couples and families. I emphasize respect, compassion, and caring, for oneself, and in all other relationships. I work to help improve communication skills, explore spiritual values, teach meditation and relaxation skills, help remove psychological obstacles to happiness, creativity, and success. My style is interactive and reflective, with emphasis on client and therapist working together collaboratively to achieve the client’s goals. I am trained in David Burns' T.E.A.M. model of cognitive behavioral therapy, and use those methods and skills in my work. I encourage balance in all aspects of life.
