Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
Being witness and facilitator to an individual’s journey through introspection, self-discovery and change is often a privilege. Whether the changes are big or small in one’s life, it is a triumphant experience for both the client and therapist to accomplish any goal in the context of the counseling relationship that both heals and supports. While the final goal of treatment is to not need it anymore, one must first learn the important skill in the therapeutic relationship before it’s possible to transfer them into everyday personal and professional functioning. This happens by way of various pathways. In couples work we create and strengthen partnership, communication skills, increase trust and work towards intimacy once again. Within the individual treatment, depending upon the issues, I will select the appropriate clinical techniques from Cognitive-behavioral, solution-focused, family systems, psychodynamic, and others, to resolve various issues of relationships, depression and anxiety, divorce, grief, addiction, spirituality, aging, life transitions and more. I have nearly 20 years experience and two clinical licenses; If you are motivated, I can help.
