Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
While superbly educated and experienced as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I always remember that the primary component of any healing I can facilitate is spiritual. I have a background as a creative artist and a community-oriented clinician. I work with children 6 and up, couples, families and individuals regardless of sexual orientation, race, religion, or economic status. I have also done a lot of work with adolescents dealing with substance abuse and adults facing workplace issues. I strongly believe in helping my clients maximize their level of satisfaction with their careers, primary relationships, and management of potentially negative issues. I am guided by a humanistic, quality-of-life, positive psychology approach. Needless to say, I tend to be very interactive as I engage my clients.

At the core of many personal issues lie old messages of your sense of worth. Those messages conveyed to you while growing-up that minimized your self-esteem. The journey inward toward your past can often be frightening and disheartening. By slowly revisiting the wounded part of yourself, old repetitive behaviors can cease to exist. A new sense of kindness toward yourself will begin to emerge. Allow me to travel with you to discover what is buried deep inside of your soul, exploring what keeps you from becoming all that you want to be.
