Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
I facilitate the personal growth that leads to greater life fulfillment. I assist people in identifying sources of emotional pain; working through the feelings that need to be experienced for healing; and doing what they can to make positive changes. My integrative approach to psychotherapy addresses thoughts, feelings, behaviors and spirituality. Life presents everyone with challenges along the way. I am effective in helping people to use life's challenges to develop their innate strengths and resources. We work together to develop the self-care and compassion for oneself that lead to growth and change. I help couples to cultivate a healing emotional connection with one another. We explore conflicts, communication difficulties, and how it is that partners have grown apart. We develop more effective communication. We strengthen the friendship that is the foundation for both passion and cooperative partnership. Engaging in psychotherapy is an opportunity to explore one's authenticity, build healthy relationship practices, develop mindfulness, navigate life transitions, find meaning in life's challenges, learn to love oneself, and identify and value what one has to give to others. Change emerges through self-acceptance.
