Personal Statement:
I am a licensed MFT since 1986 with an emphasis on children, adolescents, families, parenting, individuals, gender-specific groups, and consultation to therapists. I offer support and skill building tools to: increase healthy development, improve family relationships, develop safe expression of emotions and needs, find self care strategies, reduce and resolve conflicts, manage crises and transitions, explore personal and social dynamics that influence beliefs and behaviors, and increase resiliency and capacity for safe and meaningful relationships. Areas of emphasis include: Anxiety, Depression, Family Functioning, Loss and Grief, Divorce, Substance Abuse, Peer Relationships, School Problems, Trauma, Depression, Attachment. I work collaboratively with clients to identify strengths that become resources for enhanced well being. I am a straight white female therapist and welcome clients of all cultures and ethnicities, beliefs, and sexual identities. I provide a safe relational environment in which clients' needs can best be understood and more effectively met.
