Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
My Psychotherapy and Mediation practice is devoted to guiding my clients through many of life’s challenges. My experience as a credential classroom teacher, licensed therapist, and certified mediator, enable me to address stressful concerns many of us may be facing at home with our families, at work, and at school.

Together we will build a therapeutic relationship where clients may choose to focus on building positive self-esteem, embracing more effective parenting strategies, creating successful relationships, navigating through grief and loss, tackling educational & motivational concerns, and exploring a variety of personal issues.

My clients are parents, families, children, adolescents, couples and individuals, but my real passion is working with school-aged children and their families. I utilize many theoretical orientations to provide parents with an understanding of their child’s struggles, a “tool belt” of strategies to explore, and the encouragement they need to set their child up for success!

Are you stressed out? Do you sometimes find yourself snapping at your children? Would you describe your relationship with your husband as “distant”? Or do you feel like you are going to lose it if someone doesn’t give you a break? Being a mother, wife, or daughter can stretch us to our limits. During times like these it can feel like the world has been turned “upside down”. There is HOPE! You don’t have to figure this out alone. Let’s talk and see if I can help you make things “right side up” again.
