Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
I am a Marriage Family Therapist and Registered Nurse. I have been in psychotherapy practice for over 20 years. Prior to private practice I worked in mental health as a psychiatric nurse, taught communication, and worked in general health care. In the evolvement of my own professional development, I've always considered it a privilege to work with individuals, couples, and families in the sacred place of personal disclosure, inquiry, discovery and change. In conjunction with client goals, I work eclectically and utilize a number of therapeutic models. These models I incorporate within the mind, body, spirit context. Holding deep appreciation for the human experience; I am aware that each individual story and journey reveals the richness of life, as well as the bravery, compassion, and love of the human heart. My intention is to facilitate individual freedom from constraints of the past, present and future. I facilitate learning to transcend the problem-orientation/negative projections of the mind. I support freedom to be one's self, to make autonomous choices, and to live a life in present time that one truly desires and deserves.

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
Carlsbad, CA

I provide a therapeutic environment that allows individuals and couples to explore ideas, beliefs, life experiences, thoughts and feelings that may stand in the way of being who you truly want to be. I can help point out repeating dysfunctional patterns that may exsist in relationships at home, at work and with friends and family.I teach people how to respond in their lives versus getting caught in reacting to personalities and events.
