Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
I am a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist specializing in Somatic (Body-Mind) Psychotherapy. My approach supports personal growth through the transformation of stress, trauma, and troubled relationships. Body-Mind Psychotherapy relies on using mindfulness and body awareness as entry points into exploring challenges in one's life. By facilitating dialogue between the mind and body, clients connect to their deepest resources for healing. I join my clients and visit the areas where they are stuck, and working collaboratively find ways for the aliveness to emerge in their relationships with others and their lives. I hold a Master’s Degree specializing in Somatic Psychology, with a focus on stress and trauma. I am also a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP) and assistant trainer, Trauma First Aide (TFA) trainer, and Mendocino College Psychology Instructor. Contact me or visit my website to learn more about sessions, groups, and class offerings: www.body-mindtherapy.com
