Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
You are one step closer to a stronger, healthier you, where you feel empowered and on a positive path to growth and well-being. Today you may be faced with many challenges. From the difficult economy, a painful relationship, or a challenging child. As a systems therapist, I believe change in one part of the system has a ripple effect and can change all aspects of that system and beyond it. People strive for change, in order to reach happiness and balance in their lives, even as scary and difficult as it may be. Sometimes extra support and guidance for a challenging situation, current or past problem, or for a move in a new direction in life are needed. Everyone has the potential within them to create a rich and happy life for themselves and their family. Through a personalized and collaborative effort with you, I am here to aid you in attaining your goals, using an eclectic style of therapy that utilizes Solution-Focused, Humanistic, Experiential, Cognitive-Behavioral, Narrative, and Strength-Based theory. I want to help empower you and increase your coping, communication, and other skills to live the life that you want, need, and deserve. Your career, your family, your relationships, YOU are worth it. I am here to help you on your journey to a happier, healthier you.

Are you stressed out? Do you sometimes find yourself snapping at your children? Would you describe your relationship with your husband as “distant”? Or do you feel like you are going to lose it if someone doesn’t give you a break? Being a mother, wife, or daughter can stretch us to our limits. During times like these it can feel like the world has been turned “upside down”. There is HOPE! You don’t have to figure this out alone. Let’s talk and see if I can help you make things “right side up” again.
