Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
Many people miss the mark that addictions include not only substance, but also certain behaviors that seem impossible to abandon. My work and area of emphasis point directly to helping men and their families who are dealing with an unwanted sexual compulsions and addictions. I specialize in helping men recover from addictions to pornography and collateral forms of sexual behavior including reliance on Internet adult websites, gentlemen’s clubs and escorts. I have extensive experience working with men who struggle with confusion around their own sense of gender identity and I also work with teens who seek help and understanding from molestation. My work includes helping wives and family members cope and deal with the ramifications of such addictive behaviors. I work with individuals, groups, couples and families.

At the core of many personal issues lie old messages of your sense of worth. Those messages conveyed to you while growing-up that minimized your self-esteem. The journey inward toward your past can often be frightening and disheartening. By slowly revisiting the wounded part of yourself, old repetitive behaviors can cease to exist. A new sense of kindness toward yourself will begin to emerge. Allow me to travel with you to discover what is buried deep inside of your soul, exploring what keeps you from becoming all that you want to be.
