Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
I welcome the opportunity to speak with you personally to answer any questions you might have about my services. I offer help for your depression, anxiety, trauma, emotional pain or relationship difficulties. Of special interest to me are the challenges of infertility.

While my approach is psychodynamic, I also employ play therapy and stand tray therapy to adults and children, as well as EMDR to resolve past and present trauma.

Get the help you need, as well as high quality psychotherapy, when you work with me either as an individual or a couple – adolescents and adults. If you are seeking an environment that is safe, comfortable and nonjudgmental in which to explore your issues, contact me by telephone or email!

Donna J. Shanahan, MA

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
Pasadena, CA 91101

I am a Marriage and Family therapist in private practice. I work with individuals, couples, and families in short and long-term psychotherapy. We work together to explore memories of the relational dynamics of the individual’s family, the feelings those dynamics created for the individual as a child, and how the individual now relates to those feelings and memories.
