Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
I was an RN for fifteen years in acute care hospitals and in private practice with Physicians doing Family Medicine.

After completing my graduate degree I was with the Department of Psychiatry at Kaiser for twenty years as an RN/MFT. I conducted psycho educational and support groups in the Psychiatry Department and the acute care medical hospital.

I participated in the design of the Cardiac Rehabilitation Program with a specific focus on the psychological support and adjustment of the patients and families. I designed an ongoing support group for the families of infants in the neonatal nursery.

In the Psychiatry Department I saw patients individually in all adult life stages.

After moving to Los Angeles I currently have my second private practice in West Los Angeles. My board training and experience qualify me to work with clients from a variety of perspectives.

At the core of many personal issues lie old messages of your sense of worth. Those messages conveyed to you while growing-up that minimized your self-esteem. The journey inward toward your past can often be frightening and disheartening. By slowly revisiting the wounded part of yourself, old repetitive behaviors can cease to exist. A new sense of kindness toward yourself will begin to emerge. Allow me to travel with you to discover what is buried deep inside of your soul, exploring what keeps you from becoming all that you want to be.
