Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
I am a licensed marital and family therapist who is dedicated to helping my clients through difficult stages and challenges in their life. My background is working with domestic violence and trauma/abuse victims/survivors - including sexual abuse - (and perpetrators, as knowing "why" and "how" is essential). I work with children from 0-11, adolescents, and adults, in individual/family/collateral therapy sessions. I am capable in social work, advocacy and case management. I can help with various relationship problems (intimate and family), addiction, conflict within yourself (depression, mood, anxiety), and uncertainty.

At the core of many personal issues lie old messages of your sense of worth. Those messages conveyed to you while growing-up that minimized your self-esteem. The journey inward toward your past can often be frightening and disheartening. By slowly revisiting the wounded part of yourself, old repetitive behaviors can cease to exist. A new sense of kindness toward yourself will begin to emerge. Allow me to travel with you to discover what is buried deep inside of your soul, exploring what keeps you from becoming all that you want to be.
