Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
Whether you are going through a temporary bump in the road, or you have a long term issue, I would love to walk through it with you. Together we will examine your relationship skills, communication, patterns, and responses to difficulties. Together we will learn what the right choices are for your own life. If you choose, we can approach counseling from a Christian perspective. If not, I will be totally respectful of your beliefs. Along with professional training, I have 17 years experience as a Crisis Counselor, 41 years in marriage, 39 years as a parent, and 11 years as a grandparent. My life experience has equipped me to have wisdom and empathy in many life situations. I understand that finances can be an issue. I will do my best to make counseling affordable to you.

At the core of many personal issues lie old messages of your sense of worth. Those messages conveyed to you while growing-up that minimized your self-esteem. The journey inward toward your past can often be frightening and disheartening. By slowly revisiting the wounded part of yourself, old repetitive behaviors can cease to exist. A new sense of kindness toward yourself will begin to emerge. Allow me to travel with you to discover what is buried deep inside of your soul, exploring what keeps you from becoming all that you want to be.
