Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
I believe in therapy as a place for healing and growth and that my role is often to help people get out of their own way-to make their dreams come true, to find their dreams, to find their voice. I work together with the client to create an experience in therapy that promotes hope, insight and change. Because each person is different, I use different modalities in the room-working with what fits for the client-dreams, journaling, art, movement, guided imagery, mind-body connection work, relaxation exercises, ‘homework’-whatever helps the process move along. I work with individuals of all ages, couples, families and groups.

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist

I am in private practice, delivering telemedicine via Skype and FaceTime or by phone. My area of special emphasis is helping people improve their important relationships, and working with my clients to decrease and stop depression. If you are reading this, chances are one or more of your important relationshps are not working very well. Whether it's difficulty with a partner or spouse, teens or parents, friends or co-workers, a troubled relationship is painful.
