Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
Life is a can be frustrating, tedious, and emotionally & mentally taxing at times when we just can't seem to get the pieces to fit together, no matter how hard we try. But having someone to help you approach it from a different perspective can help you see things that maybe you hadn't seen and help you to complete the puzzle that is life. My approach to therapy is simple: I help my clients learn how to help themselves. Therapy isn't telling people what to do in order to "fix" things. Therapy is giving people the tools and teaching them how to use them, so that they can have those "Ah ha!" moments in life more often...those times when things all of a sudden make sense and all that was once complex now seems so simple.

At the core of many personal issues lie old messages of your sense of worth. Those messages conveyed to you while growing-up that minimized your self-esteem. The journey inward toward your past can often be frightening and disheartening. By slowly revisiting the wounded part of yourself, old repetitive behaviors can cease to exist. A new sense of kindness toward yourself will begin to emerge. Allow me to travel with you to discover what is buried deep inside of your soul, exploring what keeps you from becoming all that you want to be.
