Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
I have been in private practice since 1987 and in the field of Marriage & Family Therapy since 2001. I am a "holistic" or "integrative" psychotherapist. I offer authenticity and an interactive style. My approach is practical and common-sense oriented. When working with an individual I consider the whole person: the physical, mental, emotional and socio-political influences on their body/mind. I have extensive training in mind/body medicine and work with all issues of health, mental and physical. I help people avoid, reduce or eliminate pharmaceuticals with food as medicine and nutraceutical approaches I work with you, at your pace, supporting you to create the life you want to experience. I work with adults, couples and groups. Insurance reimbursement available for PPO insurance plans. I am on the Board of the International Association for Micronutrients in Mental Health, and on the faculty of the Western Institute for Social Research in their Masters in Clinical Psychology School. Please feel free to call me to discuss any questions you may have at 925 695 3114 or, if e-mailing - please put the words "TherapistFinder" in the subject heading.(carolejmorton@integrativepsychotherapist.net) Thank you.
