Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
My approach uses a blend of psychodynamic and eastern methods that emphasize wholeness and the building of resilience. The concept of the self is an important link between East and West. I believe that the self inherently moves towards health and the approaches of the West serve as the home base from which we push towards the fruitfulness of the East.

I offer a wide range of psychotherapeutic services, from couples counseling to individual therapy geared toward a specific issue. My goal is to help guide you to a place where life’s challenges are more manageable. Together, we can work toward your goal, whether it is to feel less overwhelmed by a problem, or to find strength in and existing relationship…

I specialize in helping people with traumatic backgrounds and chaotic lives to re-establish or possibly establish for the first time a sense of peace and safety.

At the core of many personal issues lie old messages of your sense of worth. Those messages conveyed to you while growing-up that minimized your self-esteem. The journey inward toward your past can often be frightening and disheartening. By slowly revisiting the wounded part of yourself, old repetitive behaviors can cease to exist. A new sense of kindness toward yourself will begin to emerge. Allow me to travel with you to discover what is buried deep inside of your soul, exploring what keeps you from becoming all that you want to be.
