Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
I offer a safe and supportive environment for people to explore life's struggles and find answers on how to create a more fulfilling life. I provide a caring space that encourages growth, self-acceptance and positive change. Let's explore what's not working and determine ways in helping you live a healthier and happier life. I am a licensed therapist who has worked in the mental health field for over 10 years. Although I have seen all ages, including couples and families, I especially enjoy working with individuals struggling to make the transition from adolescence to adulthood. I use effective techniques from a variety of disciplines to help individuals of all ages, couples, families and groups achieve their goals. I have training and experiences in various areas including: childhood issues, parenting, navigating life transitions, relationship concerns, job loss and career change, life balance, cultural identity and acculturation, social well-being, and more. Please visit my website. There you can find out more information and even schedule a free 25 minute consultation. We can talk more about what your specific needs are and determine if I am the right therapist for you. It would be an honor to be a part of your journey to a fulfilling life.

Patricia Ravitz, M.A.

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
San Rafael, CA

My therapeutic style is non-judgmental, supportive, and interactive. My work is based on establishing a safe environment where trust can grow. I view symptoms as a way to call attention to unrecognized needs and unexpressed feelings. The goals of treatment include; learning to identify and express emotions, learning to set appropriate boundaries, developing skills such as self-soothing and impluse control and improving self-esteem.
