Beginning therapy takes courage, time and effort. But just as often it may simply be about the need for a different perspective. As a therapist trained in psychodynamics and family systems, I work both with adult women and men as individuals. But I am also a marriage/family therapist who is very familiar with the problems and solutions available to couples struggling with midlife crises, falling in love, job loss, death of a loved one or the end of marriage. These disruptive and painful adjustments, when taken up willingly with an open and honest attitude, can ultimately enrich our lives in surprising ways.
I spent 20 years as a professional actor in the theater before becoming a therapist and I found a kind of seamlessness in my study of life’s unfolding dramas, which manifest themselves both internally and externally.
Incidentally, for those individuals drawn to working with their dreams and the unconscious, I am a Jungian Analyst certified through the Los Angeles Institute.
My office is located in Encino where I have been in private practice for 18 years.
