Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
My approach to therapy is inspired by multiple modalities, including psychodynamic, Hakomi, and relational psychotherapy. I specialize in blending depth psychotherapy with mind-body modalities and practical, solution-oriented counseling. To this work I bring openness, compassionate curiosity, and a commitment to understanding who you are and the issues particular to your life. I work with people in an integrative way, treating each person as a whole person with a body, mind, and spirit. Healing can occur on all these levels.  My approach facilitates accessing and strengthening both the rational and the emotional sides to being human. I work toward engaging the whole of each client in the therapy process, with the goal of deep and lasting change. How I work has to do with the theories I am familiar with, the techniques I use, and also what I bring as a person.  I am inquisitive and warm, open-minded and collaborative. I truly love the process of collaborating together to help you discover and live a more meaningful, fulfilling and authentic life. I work on both a long-term a short-term basis, depending on the nature of the issues at hand. Whether you are suffering from long-term struggles that require a longer therapy, or are wanting to work on an issue that's more situational and brief, I will tailor our work to you and your particular needs.

About My Practice

Office Hours
Mornings, Day Time, Evening
Services
I provide psychotherapy and counseling for adult individuals and couples in San Francisco. My work is dedicated to helping people create more balanced, successful, and fulfilling lives and relationships. Though it can be difficult to make the decision to begin psychotherapy, I have found that those who have sought my help and guidance have achieved remarkable results. Some things that this work facilitates: • Say, feel, and be present with what needs to come forward   • Identify and change beliefs and habits that no longer serve you about your self, others, and the world • Release the emotional grip of painful past experiences • Self-soothe in positive, life-affirming ways • Create a deeper sense of trust and safety in the world and in relationships • Build a lasting and stronger connection to your self and • Experience more comfort and joy What you are wanting from therapy will guide our work throughout. I believe that in addition to a therapist's training and experience, finding a therapist who is suited to you is essential to a successful therapy experience. I am happy to talk with you on the phone to hear more about what you are seeking, and from there we can either set up a time to meet, or I will provide you with referrals to help you find what you need.
