Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
I’ve been practicing as a Licensed Marriage, Family and child Therapist for over 29 years. My office is located in a professional building on the second floor. Unfortunately, there is no handicap access. I do not have weekend hours at this time. My counseling approach draws on an eclectic theoretical orientation that is direct and problem solving oriented. Emphasis in therapy is on work with the underlying causes of a problem while building coping skills and strategies that will reduce current symptoms. I enjoy working with a wide variety of clientele and find few things in life more rewarding than helping others achieve a higher level of emotional health and well being.

At the core of many personal issues lie old messages of your sense of worth. Those messages conveyed to you while growing-up that minimized your self-esteem. The journey inward toward your past can often be frightening and disheartening. By slowly revisiting the wounded part of yourself, old repetitive behaviors can cease to exist. A new sense of kindness toward yourself will begin to emerge. Allow me to travel with you to discover what is buried deep inside of your soul, exploring what keeps you from becoming all that you want to be.
