Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
In my role as your therapist, I listen, think , propose, explore, teach, and challenge. My approach to therapy is best described as caring, and compassionate. I am committed to providing depth-oriented psychotherapy for you and your loved one. I bring a warm, non-judgmental approach that provides a safe environment and opportunities to address both short and long terms goals. Grief, loss, trauma, depression, anxiety, substance abuse, ADHD, Asperger, divorce, cultural diversity and adjustment, are among the different issues I have experience working with. I work with adult, couples, school-age children, pre-teens, adolescents, and their families. I specialize in Expressive Arts Therapy (EXA). EXA is an approach that can work for adults and children alike. It can promote self awareness using the creative arts. A variety of modalities are used, such as: drawing, sandtray, music, images and movement. I have worked with a diverse group of patients in terms of age, ethnicity, socio-economic background, and diagnoses. I have an extensive background working with children with special needs as I earned my bachelor degree in teaching in Special Education. I am fluent in English and Hebrew.

At the core of many personal issues lie old messages of your sense of worth. Those messages conveyed to you while growing-up that minimized your self-esteem. The journey inward toward your past can often be frightening and disheartening. By slowly revisiting the wounded part of yourself, old repetitive behaviors can cease to exist. A new sense of kindness toward yourself will begin to emerge. Allow me to travel with you to discover what is buried deep inside of your soul, exploring what keeps you from becoming all that you want to be.
