Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
Christine Johnston, MFT, is a licensed marriage and family therapist in the Poway, Rancho Bernardo area of San Diego. Christine works with individuals, couples and families in an environment of safety and wholeness. Christine integrates a Christian perspective to those clients who wish this, however, she does not see Christian clients exclusively. Her desire is to coach individuals, couples and families and to help them integrate their past with the present to achieve the desired changes that are wanted in their lives. She brings a holistic perspective that unites mind, body and spirit in her work. Christine has been in the helping professions (also as a registered nurse) for 25 years.

Christine has a passion for 'preventive' work with kids and adolescents for positive generational changes.

Christine offers a free 30 minute consultation upon scheduling an appointment.

At the core of many personal issues lie old messages of your sense of worth. Those messages conveyed to you while growing-up that minimized your self-esteem. The journey inward toward your past can often be frightening and disheartening. By slowly revisiting the wounded part of yourself, old repetitive behaviors can cease to exist. A new sense of kindness toward yourself will begin to emerge. Allow me to travel with you to discover what is buried deep inside of your soul, exploring what keeps you from becoming all that you want to be.
