Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
I consider therapy a collaboration between myself and the client. Some are in search of personal growth; others are in crisis. The richness of these experiences helped me to understand that every client comes to therapy with different needs. I tend to work from a cognitive behavioral approach but also use a variety of therapeutic styles. I worked for many years in the entertainment industry, collaborating with many creative musicians and songwriters. I would often witness the life struggles a creative mind endures. Since 2004, I have worked with children and young adults with special needs, mainly focusing on autism in the area of social thinking. I work with families, siblings and children who are affected by the disorder offering support, practical life skills, and Applied Behavior Analysis techniques.
