Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
I am a Jungian trained psychotherapist with an in-depth approach to working with everyday problems of human existence which manifest in anxiety, depression, relationship issues or a general sense of purposelessness. I work with people suffering from ADHD, eating disorders, marital distress, childhood abuse/trauma and grief/loss. I am less interested in the label given to the problem than in what meaning there is in the symptom, what it is aiming toward and how it is a call to wholeness and healing. I utilize dreams, imagery, sand tray and other mediums for working with the unconscious to unlock the source of both the problem and its solution. I am also trained in cognitive-behavioral and family systems theories which I incorporate as needed. I work with individuals, couples and groups. I facilitate divorce, singles and second half of life groups and have published a parenting book and numerous psychological articles.
