Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
I believe that under the right conditions, people heal, grow, and flourish. So many of us have had little experience with the kind of truly supportive relationships that make this possible. Good therapy allows us to be fully ourselves while recognizing our unique potential, thus creating the optimal conditions for healing. I provide a place where you can feel safe, and your most difficult feelings can be explored. My approach is especially helpful when you want to resolve grief and loss, heal childhood wounds, relieve depression and anxiety, improve communication, increase self-esteem and develop more satisfying relationships. I work with individuals, couples, groups, and children using a relational gestalt therapy approach. I've practiced for 20 years, as an art therapist, as the director of a number of outpatient mental health centers, and in private practice. I am a Certified Gestalt Therapist and the past President of the Gestalt Therapy Institute of Los Angeles.

Barbara Witney, MA
Donna Yorke, M.A.

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
Temecula, CA

I’ve been in private practice in Temecula since 1990. I work with individuals, couples and families on a variety of issues, using a straight-forward approach to problem solving. While I listen with empathy, I am an “active” therapist, meaning I make suggestions, give direction and homework to partner with my clients so they can solve their problems in a timely, effective manner.
