Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
I am a licensed Marriage & Family Therapist with 17 years counseling experience. Using a holistic approach coupled with my sensitive and compassionate nature; I help people design the lives they want to live. Together we discern viable coping strategies and/or beliefs, and we honor your strengths and creativity so that you can develop the skills you want to live a more satisfying life. Times of transition or crisis offer opportunities to grow and know oneself deeply. My specialty areas include addiction, co-dependency, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, communication skills, grief and the dying process, and stress reduction. I offer a variety of techniques for transforming old habit patterns. I have worked with individuals, couples, and families. My personal and professional practice blends a medical and psychological background with the eternal wisdom from teachers in the Himalayan Tradition. This Ayurvedic health-crafting approach invites people to take responsibility for their lives, bring an intention to change what is not working, and consciously observe their thoughts and actions. I encourage you to begin to take back the power that you may have given up somewhere in the past. Our minds can be faithful servants instead of masters of rebellion, tricky saboteurs, or cowering from our shining potential. The internal conflict of opposing thoughts within our mind leaves us feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, helpless, and "out-of-control." Together we can work to ransom the mind.

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
Carlsbad, CA

I provide a therapeutic environment that allows individuals and couples to explore ideas, beliefs, life experiences, thoughts and feelings that may stand in the way of being who you truly want to be. I can help point out repeating dysfunctional patterns that may exsist in relationships at home, at work and with friends and family.I teach people how to respond in their lives versus getting caught in reacting to personalities and events.
